  • This membership includes all the lessons that fall within a month.

Some of the Benefits Include:

  • Member students receive priority scheduling over incoming prospects, and their slots are reserved during scheduled absences.
  • Instrument purchase guided tour.
  • Full set of pianistic techniques not available to the general public.
  • A growing array of piano methodologies, tools and books to adapt to your needs and tastes.
  • Piano arrangements of your favorite songs on demand (coming soon).
  • Access to our prototype App online for guidance at home.
  • The opportunity to enjoy participating in other training programs still in research, worth thousands of dollars, at no cost to the student.

Pro-rating for travelling

Reasons for pro-rating are numerous, but this usually comes up for long planned absences (especially in the summer).

Things to have in mind:

  • During the weeks of Christmas and New year the Piano Studio will be closed. This is already considered in the billing, so there’s no need to request pro-rating, as all student slots are guaranteed if they wish to continue the next year.
  • Beyond that, the only way to reserve a time slot during long absences is to maintain your full membership current. Otherwise, students pass to a waiting list either for their preferred spot, or any spot when the studio is completely full.

Prorating the Membership is possible under the following terms:

  • The student’s spot becomes immediately available to other incoming students after the prorated date.
  • Unfortunately, for the Studio to remain profitable, we can’t hold time slots while students go on vacation without a full membership in place, especially with so many incoming students knocking on the door every week.
  • Please, notify us before the beginning of the month you would like to prorate. Otherwise, the rate for the full membership will apply. There’s no pro-ration for unexpected dropouts.

Cancellations

As a program completely devoted to its students, we try to adapt to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies to keep our students on track.

  • Real medical emergencies are always recognized and will be accommodated with utmost cordiality. We’ll find you a spot for a make-up, no questions asked.
  • 48-hour cancellation for planned absences can be rescheduled. The more advance notice you can give us the more flexibility we will be able to provide.
  • Only 1 re-scheduling class per month is available per student. You understand that if everyone requested a rescheduling even only once a month, we would have an entire week’s worth of make-ups. This is not feasible or profitable for the studio. That’s why, as a serious and excellent educational operation, with finite manpower, we encourage in all our clients the judicious use of our rescheduling option.
  • Social engagements and last-minute cancellations are not eligible for re-scheduling. We respect our students’ time very much. And we do appreciate when this respect goes both ways. Also, the 5th lesson of the month is not eligible for rescheduling. This 5th lesson is a buffer we gift our students.
  • Continual absences and rescheduling will result in the dismissal of the student. This so far has never happened as all our students have been very considerate and respectful. It is crucial for us to prioritize all our focus in making this the best piano experience in the US for you and all our students rather than spend precious attention and time in constant rescheduling of unplanned absences.

Rescheduling Etiquette

  • Rescheduling of a lesson must happen within the same week. There’s no carry over or accumulation of make ups.
  • 48-hour cancellation for planned absences can be rescheduled. The more advance notice you can give us the more flexibility we will be able to provide.
  • If you are planning to skip a lesson but provide no rescheduling option, it will be understood that you are simply cancelling. Cancelling without proper follow up and then requesting a make-up is considered uncourteous at the studio.
  • Only 1 rescheduling per month. The studio can’t accommodate much more than that, no matter how much we try.

Rewards for good behavior

Clients that exhibit a solid track record of considerate behavior for the Studio’s tight schedule and limited time resources will enjoy greater flexibility and generous accommodations when needed.

Why this policy?

We believe in giving our students the best education and musical experience possible. And for that, it’s important that we develop a relationship of mutual trust where we take care of you, and you take care of us. This new Membership system guarantees a steadiness of income and certainty that will allow us to focus on what really matters… our students and the development of their talent.

FAQ

Q.

Are your piano lessons only for beginners?

A.

We specialize in beginners, but our Bellevue piano teachers also work with students who already play a little and want to improve. Our method helps both adults and kids progress quickly.

Q.

Do I need a piano at home to start lessons?

A.

Not at all. A simple keyboard is enough for beginners. We’ll guide you on when (and if) it’s time to upgrade.

Q.

How fast will I be able to play a song?

A.

Most of our students can play simple songs in just a few weeks. Our approach is built to give you small wins right away.

Q.

What’s the best age for kids to start piano lessons?

A.

We welcome kids as young as 5. Every child is different, so our Bellevue piano teachers adjust lessons to their age and learning style.

Q.

Will my child actually enjoy the lessons?

A.

Absolutely. Our beginner lessons for kids feel like play — with games, challenges, and rewards that keep them motivated.

Q.

How much practice is expected at home?

A.

Just a few minutes a day is enough for beginners. We keep practice short and fun so kids build consistency without pressure.

Q.

Am I too old to start piano lessons?

A.

Not at all! Many of our Bellevue students begin as adults. Our beginner piano lessons are designed to be encouraging, practical, and fun — no matter your age.

Q.

How much time do I need to practice each week?

A.

Less than an hour. We specialize in helping busy adults make real progress with short, focused practice sessions.

Q.

Do I have to read music?

A.

We’ll teach you as you go. You’ll start playing songs right away, while gradually learning to read music at a comfortable pace.
